The Hidden Railway

$600.00

The salt marsh of San Pablo Bay is an ocean of grass whispering secrets. In its muddy waters, the Ridgway’s Rail goes about the business of survival with determination. Marshes are the lungs of the bay: improving water quality, sequestering carbon, and mitigating the dangers of flooding. In the smoggy distance are an oil refinery and the slopes of Mt Diablo. This print was created to support Point Blue Conservation Science projects.

Each woodcut is an original. The inking and hand pulling processes are labor intensive, contributing lovely individual differences and insuring a small edition size. Prints are wrapped in archival paper, and shipped flat. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.  Framed prints are available through my galleries.
