The Guardian

the guardian web.jpg

With Spring just around the corner, the birds are starting to gather in my garden. “The Guardian” was inspired by at very bright breasted robin, guarding his nest, hidden in the fork of this elm tree. Can you find it? It was completed last year, but not released, because there was something in the composition that bothered me. (One of the challenges of and heart-break of original print making is that flexibility to change an image is limited.) Thanks to the suggestions of a generous friend and master artist, Terry Miller, I was able to save this print which has now become one of my favorites. Thank you Terry! You can also find his work on facebook, The Graphite Art of Terry Miller
